Angel di Maria has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain teammate Edinson Cavani "is one of the best strikers on the planet".
Cavani joined PSG from Napoli in the summer of 2013, and the 30-year-old has scored 130 goals in 198 appearances for the French giants in all competitions.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic's departure last summer allowed Cavani to move into a more central position, meanwhile, and the Uruguay international registered 49 goals in 50 appearances during the 2016-17 campaign.
Di Maria has branded Cavani "an impressive player", and insists that his fellow South American is among the best forwards in world football.
"Edi is an impressive player," Di Maria told PSG's official website. "His movement is great, he knows how to get away from his marker and he always pops up in the right place in the area. He always tries to anticipate what his marker will do.
"He has had an incredible season. He lived up to the expectations after he moved to the centre of the pitch. He showed that he is one of the best strikers on the planet."
Cavani registered 104 goals in 138 appearances for Napoli before moving to the French capital four years ago.
