QPR manager Mark Hughes believes that midfielder Adel Taarabt is finally in the right frame of mind to start performing on the pitch.

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has claimed that midfielder Adel Taarabt has overcome his issues at the club.

Taarabt has had a stormy relationship with the London side since his move from Tottenham Hotspur in 2010 and questioned Hughes over his role at the club just last week.

However, Hughes believes that the 23-year-old is now in the right frame of mind to start performing well on the pitch.

"Adel is a talented young man and that talent is recognised here. We support him but he is a young player and sometimes he makes the wrong decisions," said Hughes.

"There are always consequences when you do that but he is in a good place now and we are pleased with what he is producing and as a consequence we will reap the benefit on the pitch."

Taarabt scored his first goal of the season during QPR's 2-1 loss to West Ham United on Monday just 70 seconds after coming on as a sub.
