Bolton Wanderers defender Mark Beevers has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Rangers.
New boss Steven Gerrard is keen to add another centre-back to his first-team squad, but the Liverpool legend continues to be frustrated in his attempts to sign Millwall's Jake Cooper.
That has resulted in Gerrard having to contemplate other options, and according to The Express, Beevers is on the radar of the Scottish giants.
Beevers has spent his career in the EFL and during the past two seasons, the 28-year-old has played an instrumental role in Bolton gaining promotion to the Championship and avoiding an immediate return back to League One.
Rangers have allegedly already scouted the player, who is likely to be cheaper than £3m-rated Cooper due to less than 12 months remaining on his contract.
