Reading striker Adam Le Fondre has insisted that a strong team spirit can help the Royals achieve Premier League survival this season.
The striker scored a brace yesterday to help Reading secure their first win of the season at home to Everton.
Brian McDermott's side moved out of the relegation zone with victory over the Toffees, leapfrogging Aston Villa in the table.
Le Fondre thinks that the desire of his teammates to prove that they belong in the top tier of English football will prove vital.
He told talkSPORT: "You need a good squad and we've got a great team spirit and a great work ethic within all the lads.
"We all want to be successful. We all want to play but everyone knows you can only play eleven players. The one good thing about our squad is that if you're not in the team everyone supports you either way.
"The way the gaffer has recruited players for our team they're all pushing for one thing and that's success as a team."
Le Fondre's double against Everton added to his only other Premier League goal, a strike against Stoke City on the opening day of the season.
