Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri believes that Real Madrid are favourites to win the Champions League this season and also wants to avoid Barcelona in the quarter-finals.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has claimed that Real Madrid are the favourites to win the Champions League this season.

Real and Juve are two of the four teams to have booked a place in the last eight of the competition, with the draw for the quarter-finals set to take place on Friday.

Zinedine Zidane's side, who are seeking a third consecutive Champions League title, overcame Paris Saint-Germain in their last-16 tie, while the Bianconeri came from behind to get past Tottenham Hotspur.

"I hope to avoid both Barcelona and Real Madrid," Allegri is quoted by Goal.com as saying after a 2-0 win against Udinese on Sunday sent his side top of the Serie A table.

"I think Madrid are the favourites to win the competition. They're focusing solely on the Champions League and there's nobody else that deals with games in this competition like they do."

Barcelona host Chelsea on Wednesday in the second leg of their last-16 tie having been held to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
