Koke: 'Atletico Madrid would never roll over'

Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke responds angrily to claims that his side could roll over for Barcelona in their Week 37 La Liga clash.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke has strongly denied suggestions that his team could allow Barcelona to win their Week 37 La Liga clash.

Real Madrid, who are currently second by two points with three games remaining, will more than likely need a favour from their rivals Atletico if they are to usurp Barcelona at the summit.

It had been claimed that Atletico would attempt to harm Real Madrid's chances with a lacklustre display against Barca, but Koke has insisted that is not in Atletico's make-up.

"We're professionals and we will try to win," Koke told AS. "We've always done that and we wouldn't turn up otherwise. It's always nice to beat Barca, one of the best in the world.

"We're upset by that talk because we're professionals. We have our pride and a lot to play for too."

Atletico are currently third in La Liga – four points ahead of fourth-placed Valencia.
