Real Madrid are said to be planning further salary decreases in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
The La Liga champions already negotiated a 10% pay cut with their players back in April during the first wave of the virus, although many countries - including Spain - are now seeing infection levels rise again.
With Real Madrid losing income from behind-closed-doors matches and postponements, Los Blancos are reportedly looking into further cost-cutting measures during this period of financial uncertainty.
According to ESPN, the powers-that-be at the Bernabeu are considering another wage decrease, although the capital outfit have not yet decided on what percentage of their stars' salary will be cut.
The report also claims that the proposal will be run by the club's captains Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, Raphael Varane and Marcelo, but Zinedine Zidane's players are understood to be supportive of the measures given the difficult situation.
However, negotiations over a pay cut at Real's rivals Barcelona have not been going so smoothly, with La Blaugrana recently releasing a statement confirming that they could not come to an agreement with their players and staff regarding a salary decrease.
