Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has reportedly grown unhappy with life at the Bernabeu.
Modric helped Croatia reach the World Cup final during the summer, but talk quickly turned to his club career with reports strongly suggesting that he craved a transfer to Inter Milan.
A move failed to materialise and Modric, and the Real first team have underperformed since the start of the campaign, with the club sitting in fourth place in the La Liga standings.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the situation has left Modric feeling "sad" at the Spanish giants, and the 33-year-old maintains a desire to move to Inter.
However, the Serie A team are unlikely to try to push a deal for Modric - who is contracted to Real until 2020 - midway through the season.
