Real Madrid consider a summer swoop for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly considering a summer swoop for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz as a possible alternative to Manchester United's Paul Pogba and Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen.

Madrid continue to be linked with swoops for both Pogba and Eriksen, although it appears that the Spanish giants will be priced out of moves for the Premier League duo.

According to reports in Spain, Zinedine Zidane's side could now switch their attention to Ruiz, who scored seven times in 40 appearances for Napoli during the 2018-19 campaign.

The 23-year-old, who helped Spain overcome the Faroe Islands and Sweden in their last two Euro 2020 qualifiers, only arrived in Italy from Real Betis last summer.

However, Madrid, who recently secured Eden Hazard's signature, could now attempt to bring the midfielder to the Bernabeu ahead of the new season.
