Chelsea are reportedly undecided over whether to push through a permanent deal for Mateo Kovacic.
The midfielder has spent a season on loan from Real Madrid, making a total of 50 appearances for the Blues in all competitions.
Despite facing a two-window transfer ban, Chelsea are able to push through the full-time signing of Kovacic, a player who is liked by Maurizio Sarri.
However, the London Evening Standard claims that the potential departure of the Italian to Juventus could lead to the West Londoners shelving plans to pay a significant fee for the Croatia international.
Real would be happy to part ways with Kovacic as head coach Zinedine Zidane looks to make sweeping changes to his squad.
Chelsea have until the end of June to make a final decision.
