Real Madrid have reportedly missed out on the signing of Mauro Icardi as the striker has agreed to extend his contract with Inter Milan.
Los Blancos are believed to have recently revived their interest in the 25-year-old, who has netted 13 goals in 19 matches this season.
Icardi recently suggested that he will not quit Inter until he has won a major trophy with the Italian club, however, and Sport suggests that fresh terms have now been agreed to keep him at San Siro until 2023.
The Argentina international, also rumoured to be on the radar of Inter's Serie A rivals Juventus, was previously due to be out of contract in 2021.
Inter signed Icardi from Sampdoria five years ago and he has gone on to score 120 goals in 201 appearances for the Nerazzurri.
