Real Zaragoza 2-1 Racing Santander

Real Zaragoza have closed the gap on Rayo Vallecano with a 2-1 victory over Racing Santander.

Real Zaragoza have taken a huge step towards safety with a 2-1 victory over Racing Santander.

The home side dominated the match and peppered the visitors' goal from the off but it was Santander who opened the scoring.

Christian Fernandez headed in from Edu Bedia's free-kick to stun the home crowd in the 11th minute.

However, their lead did not last long and Helder Postiga levelled two minutes later with a close range header.

Zaragoza had to wait until 12 minutes from time to find the winner, and it came when Angel Lafita struck from inside the box.
