Brazil thrash South Africa

Brazil earn a comfortable 5-0 win over South Africa in their international friendly at the First National Bank Stadium in Johannesburg.

A hat-trick from Neymar has helped Brazil thrash South Africa 5-0 in their international friendly at the First National Bank Stadium in Johannesburg.

The World Cup hosts took the lead in the 10th minute when Oscar burst clear before dinking the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.

The visitors doubled their advantage five minutes before the break as Neymar fired a powerful effort into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

Neymar then scored his second goal of the game just a minute into the second half with a casual lob over Williams after beating the offside trap.

Brazil made it 4-0 with 10 minutes left to play as Fernandinho found the net with a 30-yard drive before Neymar completed his hat-trick in stoppage time.
