Southampton will reportedly be unable to call on midfielder Adam Lallana for the hectic festive period due to injury.
The 24-year-old is believed to have suffered damage to his knee ligaments after leaving the field in the first half of the Saints' 1-0 win over Reading last Saturday.
Lallana is said to have left St Mary's on crutches and it is understood that the midfielder will be out of action until the New Year, according to the Daily Echo.
If Southampton are dealt the blow, Lallana will be unable to feature in the former Championship side's league clashes against Sunderland, Fulham, Stoke and Arsenal and could also be sidelined for the Saints' FA Cup match against Chelsea.
