Southampton's Sadio Mane was surprised to hear that he broke the record for the fastest Premier League hat-trick in history.
The Senegal international netted three times in 2 minutes and 56 seconds in the first half against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Two more goals from Shane Long and another from Graziano Pelle sealed a thumping 6-1 win for the Saints.
Speaking to BBC Sport after the match, Mane said: "Really? It is the fastest Premier League hat-trick? The most important thing today is the victory.
"We have a chance to finish in the Europa League spots. We will try to win the next game against Manchester City and why not win it? We have a great team and last week was not easy but we have to work hard every game."
The win moves Southampton into sixth place as they battle for a Europa League spot next season.
