Tottenham Hotspur team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Sports Mole rounds up Tottenham Hotspur's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League showdown with Crystal Palace.

As the Premier League swings back into focus following the international break, Tottenham Hotspur host Crystal Palace in an intriguing clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.

Spurs have won only one of their opening four matches of the domestic season, sandwiching a shock 1-0 home defeat against Newcastle United with 2-2 draws at Manchester City and arch-rivals Arsenal.

A goalless draw against visitors Everton and a 1-0 defeat against Sheffield United have been followed by a resurgence for Palace, who are fourth after backing up a surprise 2-1 win at Manchester United with a 1-0 victory over Aston Villa at Selhurst Park.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Spurs.

Tanguy Ndombele

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: September 14 (vs. Crystal Palace)

The France midfielder scored the equaliser against Villa in the 3-1 opening day win but has been hampered by a thigh injury sustained in training that meant he missed the Newcastle and Arsenal tussles and missed out on international duty.

Kyle Walker-Peters

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: September 18 (vs Olympiacos)

Hot prospect Walker-Peters became another dispiriting aspect of the loss to Newcastle when he limped off with a hamstring problem 17 minutes into the second half, forcing the 22-year-old to miss the subsequent draw at the Emirates Stadium. There is a chance he will be ready to return at right-back against Palace, but he may need to wait until Spurs' opening Champions League challenge in Greece the following Wednesday.

Juan Foyth

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: September 28 (vs. Southampton)

Another young defender unavailable to coach Mauricio Pochettino is Argentine Foyth, who left on a stretcher after damaging his ankle in the closing stages of the Audi Cup final against Bayern Munich in pre-season.

Eric Dier

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: September 14 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Left on the bench for Spurs' opening three games, Dier was ruled out of the North London derby and England contention by a minor hip injury from which he is expected to recover in time to compete for a run-out in their latest encounter with slightly less near neighbours.

Giovani Lo Celso

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: September 14 (vs. Crystal Palace)

The full extent of the thigh injury sustained by Lo Celso, signed on loan from Real Betis, is unclear. After leaving Argentina's 0-0 draw with Chile prematurely, the midfielder himself downplayed the problem as "only a blow", and he has returned to London to be assessed.

Ryan Sessegnon

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: September 14 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Teenager Sessegnon has set his sights on returning against Palace during the rehabilitation for a hamstring problem that has kept him out for almost a month. The left-sided signing from Fulham will be eager to make his full debut for the club.
