Tim Sherwood has admitted that he doesn't know if he will be offered the role as Tottenham Hotspur manager on a full-time basis.
Sherwood took charge of his first game as caretaker manager following Andre Villas-Boas's dismissal, during their 2-1 defeat in the League Cup against West Ham United, and he claims that he is yet to speak to the club about the position.
"I don't know if I'll be Spurs manager - I haven't spoken to the chairman," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.
"We have to have a chat and see. It has to fit me and the club. The club have to make the right appointment - as you can imagine the list is as long as your arm.
"There are a lot of big names in the frame. It depends who the chairman thinks is the right one."
Tottenham are currently seventh in the Premier League table.
