West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has condemned the actions of Goran Popov during today's 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at The Hawthorns.
The Baggies were reduced to 10 men shortly after the restart when Popov was handed his marching orders by referee Mark Clattenburg for spitting at Tottenham defender Kyle Walker.
Speaking after the match, Clarke insisted that the 28-year-old had let his teammates down.
"The game changed with the sending off," Clarke told Sky Sports News. "I'm absolutely disgusted with Goran's behaviour. One of the group has let the players down.
"He has let everyone down. It would be a strong case for him to receive disciplinary action"
Popov joined West Brom during the summer from Dynamo Kiev on a loan deal.
