Christian Eriksen enjoying Tim Sherwood management

Christian Eriksen is enjoying life at Tottenham Hotspur under the management of Tim Sherwood and admits that he is glad that the 45-year-old replaced Andre Villas-Boas.

Christian Eriksen has admitted that he is glad that Tim Sherwood was appointed Tottenham Hotspur boss, as it has led to more regular first-team chances for him.

The Danish playmaker, who arrived from Ajax for £11m last summer, was in and out of the team under previous manager Andre Villas-Boas.

Sherwood replaced the Portuguese coach in December, and Eriksen has since scored five goals in 13 appearances to establish himself as an important figure in what has been a struggling Spurs side.

There has been some criticism of Sherwood's management since he questioned Tottenham's character in the aftermath of the 4-0 thrashing by Chelsea, but Eriksen is enjoying life under the 45-year-old.

"I was glad because he put my name on the team-sheet right away," Eriksen told The Sun. "I enjoy working with him and you can see he's a big Spurs man.

"First you're at a new club and then suddenly after a couple of months you've got a new coach. That is difficult for people but I haven't had any problems."

Eriksen is expected to start for Spurs when they host Arsenal in the North London derby on Sunday.
