Scotland assistant manager Mark McGhee has revealed that his nation will have a plan in place to nullify the threat that Wales winger Gareth Bale may pose on Friday evening.
Bale's form in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur this season has resulted in him being talked about as one of the best players in world football at the moment.
Having watched the 23-year-old in action a number of times recently, McGhee has insisted that Scotland will not hand any one player the job of sticking with Bale.
"I've been watching a lot of Gareth Bale recently. We will have a plan to deal with him but we are the team and will exert our own pressure. I've seen teams who have dealt with Bale's quality. I don't think we will be man-marking him," he told reporters.
"We will ask players to do what they are good at. It's not a case of moulding into a rigid system."
Bale scored both of Wales's goals when they defeated Scotland 2-1 in October last year.
