Andros Townsend: 'Harry Kane is an animal'

Andros Townsend backs Tottenham Hotspur and England teammate Harry Kane to improve further next season.

Andros Townsend has said that Tottenham Hotspur and England teammate Harry Kane will get even better next season.

The striker won the PFA Young Player of the Year award last term after scoring 31 times for Spurs in all competitions.

Townsend believes that the 21-year-old can improve on his tally in the next campaign.

"He's had a fantastic season and hopefully next season he can take it to the next level and help us really achieve something," the midfielder told the Daily Mail.

"He had two or three players marking him in the second half of the season and he has still scored another 10 or 11 goals.

"He has the ability to do even better next season. He has turned into an animal and that will benefit Spurs and England."

Kane's first England goal came 79 seconds into his debut against Lithuania in March.
