Tottenham Hotspur may reportedly have the option of extending Gareth Bale's loan spell from Real Madrid into a second year.
While Spurs are yet to make an official announcement, Bale's return to the North London outfit has effectively been confirmed by his presence at the club's training ground.
As it stands, the Wales international is due to spend one season at Spurs, ahead of further decisions being made regarding the remainder of his contract at the Bernabeu.
However, according to The Sun, Spurs will have the option of extending the 31-year-old's stay at the club by another 12 months.
Although Bale has a deal at the La Liga champions until 2022, the Real board are keen to get the attacker off their wage bill as soon as possible.
Spurs are allegedly paying a percentage of Bale's wages, costing the Premier League side in the region of £12m.
