Asamoah Gyan insists that he is happy in the United Arab Emirates.

Asamoah Gyan has said that he is enjoying his time in the United Arab Emirates.

The Ghana forward has been on loan at Al Ain from parent club Sunderland this season and has contributed to the side's UAE Pro-League title after a 2-0 victory over Al Jazira on Friday.

Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill stated earlier this month that he doesn't expect Gyan to return to the Stadium of Light and the player himself has now admitted that he is unsure over his future.

"On June 30 I will know then when my loan finishes, but I don't know anything before that. I'm happy to be an Al Ain player. I'm very happy to be here," Gyan said.

Gyan has been an integral part of Al Ain's UAE title success, scoring 17 goals during the campaign to become the league's top goalscorer, and the striker is delighted with the team's victory.

"We are so happy. The team has worked so hard for past 10 months and I am happy to be part of the team," Gyan added.

"We have a very good coach with an incredible CV. I've no doubt we won because we worked so hard. We deserved this."

Gyan cost Sunderland £13m when he signed from Rennes in 2010.
