Michael Laudrup praises his Swansea City players after they come from 2-0 down to claim a point against Reading thanks a superb late equaliser from Wayne Routledge.

Michael Laudrup has hailed his side's character after they recovered a two-goal deficit to earn a point against Reading.

Swansea City trailed 2-0 at the interval, but produced a spirited comeback thanks to a Michu header and a stunning late equaliser from Wayne Routledge.

The point stopped a run of three successive defeats for the Swans, who had also failed to score in that sequence.

Laudrup told BBC Sport he believes that he was pleased with the resolve shown by his players.

He said: "I think when you're 2-0 down and come back you should be pleased and then you add we had three consecutive defeats.

"When we don't play so well we lose and then when we play well we are still losing at half time. I said to the boys you're the only ones who can change this, had six or seven chances and then scored two goals and we should have had a penalty.

"I think it was obvious but then the referee did not give it, they can have good and bad days like me.

"It is important that we stopped the losses. That was important, you can one point from four is quite poor but we are still five clear of the bottom. These are the games that show if your team has character and I think we showed that today."

A hard-fought point denied Reading their first league win of the season and keeps Swansea in 11th place in the Premier League.
