FC Twente have claimed that the club is close to reaching an agreement with Swansea City over the transfer of Luc Castaignos.
It was reported earlier this week that the Dutch striker was on the verge of a £6.5m move to the Liberty Stadium.
Castaignos, who narrowly missed out on a place in the Netherlands squad for the World Cup, scored 14 goals in 31 games last season for Twente.
"It's always the decision of the player, but the clubs will reach an agreement," Twente chairman Joop Munsterman told Voetbal International. "At this moment Swansea City are the only club that made their interest clear in Castaignos."
Castaignos joined Twente two years ago following a short stay in Serie A with Inter Milan.
