Francesco Guidolin feels that his Udinese side were unlucky to lose against AC Milan, but admits that their over-attacking mentality may have been naive.

Udinese coach Francesco Guidolin felt that his side deserved more in their 2-1 loss to AC Milan on Saturday.

The Zebrette had led through Antonio Di Natale's 20th goal of the season, before they were undone by two clinical breakaway goals.

Guidolin felt that although the result was harsh on his team, his players must learn from their mistakes.

He told Sky Sport Italia: We conceded two goals on the counter-attack.

"If we had been more cautious in couple of circumstances, Milan would have struggled.

"We had to show maturity. Say the result finished 1-1; it would have been a good result, although we deserved more.

"We went forward in an attempt to put things right but they punished us, and AC Milan can punish you at any time. We must try to recover quickly."

Udinese's next match is against Tottenham Hotspur's Europa League conquerors PAOK Salonika.
