Wales manager Chris Coleman was keen to praise the performance of his players, despite their 2-0 defeat to Croatia on Tuesday night.
Coleman was pleased that, unlike their last away game where they lost 6-1 in Serbia, Wales did not give up when they fell behind.
"We knew it would be difficult. When you come to a place like this you have to ride your luck a little bit because they are a very, very good team," Sky Sports News quotes Coleman as saying.
"[However] compared to the last performance away from home it was a lot more pleasing to see the players not giving up, not folding, and at the end we were pushing and on another night we might have had a goal or two.
"We were beaten by a very good team, in difficult conditions, but we can take a lot of heart from the performance."
Wales are fifth in Group A with three points from four games.
