Watford have confirmed that Giuseppe Sannino has been appointed as the club's new head coach.
The Championship outfit have been searching for a new leader following Gianfranco Zola's decision to resign from his post after 17 months at the club.
Sannino was expected to make the move to Vicarage Road just two days after Zola's exit after claiming yesterday that he was planning to fly to England to hold talks with the club.
The Hornets wrote on their official website: "Sannino takes up his post immediately and will be joined by assistant coaches Francesco Troise, Giovanni Cusatis and Paolo De Toffol."
The 56-year-old was sacked by Chievo in November.
