Watford have reportedly signalled their intention to keep hold of striker Odion Ighalo by rejecting a £37.5m offer from Shanghai SIPG.
Ighalo has attracted interest after scoring 15 goals in the Premier League last season, but it appears that the Hornets are not keen on selling last season's top goalscorer.
According to Sky Sports News, Watford have rebuffed Shanghai SIPG's attempt to take Ighalo to China as they continue on their spending spree, having already signed Brazilian forward Hulk for £45m earlier this week.
It remains to be seen whether Shanghai will return with a higher offer, but Watford have already showed this summer that they want to keep their strikeforce at Vicarage Road having turned down approaches for Troy Deeney.
The club skipper is reportedly wanted by Leicester City but Watford are said to have rejected bids of £20m and £25m for the forward.
