West Bromwich Albion will reportedly approach Birmingham City boss Chris Hughton to replace England-bound Roy Hodgson.
Baggies boss Hodgson has emerged as the leading contender for the England post in recent days, and could be confirmed by the Football Association at the end of the week.
It is understood that the club's sporting director Dan Ashworth is a keen admirer of Hughton, and an approach will soon be made, according to The Mirror.
Hodgson's possible appointment has been met with criticism in some sections of the media.
