West Ham United confirm James Tomkins has suffered dislocated shoulder

West Ham United confirm that defender James Tomkins has dislocated his shoulder and has had scans in hospital.

West Ham United have confirmed that James Tomkins has suffered a dislocated shoulder.

Reports emerged overnight claiming that the injury occurred during a training session, and there are concerns that he could miss the rest of the season.

Today, the Hammers announced via their official Twitter page: "West Ham United can confirm that James Tomkins has suffered a dislocated shoulder. The 25-year-old was taken for hospital treatment and will continued to be assessed by the club's medical staff."

West Ham will take on Arsenal at the Emirates tomorrow.
