Ivan Cavaleiro: 'Wolverhampton Wanderers must build momentum'

Ivan Cavaleiro admits that Wolverhampton Wanderers must look to build some momentum after beating Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Ivan Cavaleiro has backed the club to put together a run of positive results in the Championship.

Last weekend, Wolves recorded a 2-0 win away at Nottingham Forest to move five points clear of the relegation zone, and Cavaleiro has admitted that he and his teammates need to build some "momentum" as they look to move away from the bottom three.

The 23-year-old told the club's official website: "We have games on Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday and we didn't play well on Tuesday. It feels like the team is doing better now and we have to keep going and keep together – this is the key.

"I think we can get momentum now. In four or five games now we have been good going forward. We just have to defend better as a team and also take more of our opportunities."

Cavaleiro has scored three goals from 17 appearances since his £7m move from AS Monaco during the summer.
