Bournemouth come from behind to beat nine-man Wolverhampton Wanderers

Bournemouth score twice in the final 20 minutes to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 at Molineux, condemning the home side to their fifth loss in a row.

Wolverhampton Wanderers threw away a one-goal lead as they lost 2-1 at home to Bournemouth to slump to their fifth successive loss this afternoon.

Both sides saw long-range efforts palmed away in the opening 10 minutes, as James Henry and then Matt Ritchie tried their luck from distance, while Brett Pitman should have done better than fire over the bar from inside the box shortly afterwards.

Wolves began to see more of the ball and Artur Boruc was relieved to see Rajiv van La Parra fire wide after he had fumbled Dominic Iorfa's initial effort.

Van la Parra then tested Boruc at his near post once more before Dave Edwards flashed an effort narrowly wide and Danny Graham planted a header over the bar as Wolves looked the brighter side.

Four minutes before the interval, Graham netted Wolves' first goal in four matches with a glancing header that nestled in the far corner of the net to give them the lead at the break.

Wolves were left to defend their lead with just 10 men for the final half-hour after Van la Parra was shown a straight red card by referee Mike Jones.

Nonetheless, Henry came close to notching Wolves' second goal of the game with a powerful volley that dipped narrowly over the bar.

Callum Wilson then somehow fired over from six yards as Bournemouth looked as though they would end the afternoon with nothing to show for their efforts.

However, Harry Arter's deflected effort found its way past Ikeme as the visitors drew level with a quarter of an hour left.

The home support were then stunned into silence with five minutes remaining as Ritchie slammed the ball home from close range after Ikeme had originally denied Wilson with a reflex save.

With the frustration growing among the home side, Matt Doherty was shown a straight red card in the 95th minute to round off a dreadful afternoon for the hosts.
