Wolverhampton Wanderers complete the signing of Adama Traore from Middlesbrough in a reported £18m deal.

Ambitious Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the club-record signing of winger Adama Traore from Middlesbrough on a five-year deal.

Wolves are believed to have paid £18m for the Barcelona academy product after triggering his Riverside release clause.

The West Midlands outfit, whose previous record fee for a player was the £15m splashed out to sign Ruben Neves from Porto last summer, have now brought in five new players since earning promotion from the Championship.

Traore, who has previously represented Spain at four different age groups up to Under-21s, completed his Molineux medical on Tuesday and is now in line to make his debut against Everton on Saturday evening if he recovers from a shoulder injury.

Wolves have also added Rui Patricio, Jonny Castro, Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez to their squad this summer, while signing Diogo Jota and Willy Boly on permanent deals.
