Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly considering a bid for Middlesbrough striker Patrick Bamford.
The 23-year-old only joined Boro on a permanent basis in January, but struggled for game time during the second half of the season and made just two Premier League starts as they were relegated from the top flight.
Bamford was instrumental for the Smoggies during a loan spell in 2014-15 while the club were still in the Championship, scoring 17 goals in 40 league outings.
However, the former Chelsea man has made just four league starts since stepping up to the Premier League, and he could find first-team opportunities limited at the Riverside once again next season after they signed Britt Assombalonga, Martin Braithwaite and Ashley Fletcher.
The Express & Star reports that Wolves are still interested in Bamford, having failed in their pursuit when he joined Boro in January.
Bamford's Boro teammate Rudy Gestede is also an option for the Championship outfit, although it is thought that Bamford is their preferred target.
