The hosts exposed all of Widnes's weaknesses in the opening half, making the most of their strong start by scoring six tries before half time, with Greg Eden, Omari Caro and Dale Ferguson among those on the scoresheet.
Hull KR's dominance left the visitors with a mountain to climb in the second half, having trailed 34-0 at the break.

Vikings started well, winning a penalty courtesy of a late hit from Cory Paterson, allowing Gareth Hock to breach the Robins' try-line for the first time in the match, breaking off several tackles on the way.
Widnes added a second try shortly after, with Rhys Hanbury getting the ball from a scrum and taking it over the line.
However, the hosts were too strong, adding two more tries to take their total for the day to eight, beating their opponents 44-18.
