England will discover today whether or not London Wasps wing Christian Wade will be fit to feature in the Six Nations at the start of next year.
The 22-year-old was forced off in the latter stages of Wasps' 19-12 victory over rivals London Irish on Saturday, after appearing to go over on his ankle.
The club confirmed via Twitter that Wade will undergo a scan on Monday: "For those asking, Christian Wade will have his ankle assessed today so no update on his injury until it's been thoroughly checked. Thanks!"
Should the scan reveal ligament damage, then Wade could be out of action for several weeks, which would leave him little time to prove his fitness ahead of England's Six Nations opener in Paris against France on February 1.
Wade has only recently recovered from a hamstring injury that denied him a start for England against Argentina and New Zealand last month.
