Tom Arscott signs new two-year deal at Sale Sharks

Tom Arscott pens a new two-year deal at Sale Sharks to become the latest star to commit his future to the AJ Bell Stadium club.

Winger Tom Arscott has become the seventh player to commit his future to Sale Sharks by agreeing a new two-year deal with the club.

The 27-year-old has established himself as a key component at the AJ Bell Stadium since joining from London Welsh in the summer of 2013.

Having seen another star player sign on the dotted line, Sale director of rugby Steve Diamond was quick to play up the impact of the former Worcester Warriors man.

"Tom has been playing really well and scoring lots of tries," he told the club's official website. "He's a great lad and he's young and his best rugby is still to come.

"He likes the environment here and he's really settled in the area and I think that there's a lot more to come from Tom over the next few years. So we're delighted he has agreed to stay with us."

Arscott scored five tries in as many Aviva Premiership games earlier this season, before suffering an injury setback when he damaged his hamstring.
