Tom Daley: 'It's hard to get back into training'

Team GB Olympic bronze medallist Tom Daley says that it has been 'hard' to return to training following the success and media storm of the London 2012 Games.

Team GB's Olympic bronze medallist Tom Daley has admitted that he is finding it difficult to come down from the high of London 2012.

The 18-year-old, who clinched bronze in the 10m platform diving final, has claimed that the media commitments have been "crazy" following his success in the nation's capital.

"It was a dream come true really," Daley told BBC Radio Five Live. "You work hard your whole life and to have something to show for it makes it worthwhile.

"I have been on holiday and I went back to school and training last week. I had two weeks off relaxing but it has also been crazy with media stuff.

"It is good to be back in the pool. This is the hardest part of the four-year cycle as you have to get back into it. Everyone starts again from scratch."

Daley and his Olympic and Paralympic compatriots will travel through central London in a victory parade from 1.30pm today.
