Ajaccio have registered a narrow 1-0 win against Bordeaux at home in Ligue 1.

Chances were few and far between in the first half at Stade François Coty and Ricardo Faty made his count after 31 minutes when he shot home from close range.

Benoit Tremoulinas tried to equalise from outside the Ajaccio box immediately but failed to keep his shot on target, before Julien Faubert's attempt from inside the area was saved by Guillermo Ochoa.

Ludovic Obraniak and Jaroslav Plasil went close before the break, and Henri Saivet and David Bellion tried to put Bordeaux back on level terms in the opening minutes of the second period.

The visitors continued to create chances for the remainder of the game, but failed to find the target.
