Report: Swansea City line up £7m move for Hector Moreno

Swansea City are lining up a move for Espanyol defender Hector Moreno should skipper Ashley Williams join Arsenal this summer, according to a report.

Swansea City will move for Espanyol defender Hector Moreno if captain Ashley Williams joins Arsenal, according to a report.

The Wales international has been linked with a move to the Gunners this summer and now reports suggest that manager Arsene Wenger is lining up a £10m bid for the defender.

Swans boss Michael Laudrup is already making contingency plans if his skipper leaves the club this summer and has been in contact with Espanyol over a £7m move for Moreno, reports The Mirror.

The Spanish side are currently enduring financial difficulties and will be willing to let one of their star players leave for the right price.

The 25-year-old made 33 appearances for Espanyol last season.
