Robin van Persie reportedly refuses to sign a new deal with Arsenal in order to consider his options, but won't make a decision until after Euro 2012.

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has reportedly decided to make a decision on his future after the European Championships following a breakdown in contract talks with the Gunners.

The 28-year-old is believed to have begun negotiations with manager Arsene Wenger and chief executive Ivan Gazidis on Wednesday, but reports have claimed that the two parties failed to come to an agreement.

It is believed that the Dutchman is willing to listen to other offers before committing to the North London outfit and will make the final decision on his future after the Netherlands' campaign in the Euros this summer, according to ESPN.

Manchester City are thought to be the frontrunners to sign the prolific frontman, who is understood to have outlined the need for silverware as his top priority.
