Reports in France suggest that Schalke 04 could be about to move for Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin.

Schalke 04 are interested in Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin, according to reports in France.

The 21-year-old has found first-team football hard to come by since returning from a loan spell at Lorient, making just nine starts for the Gunners in two seasons.

According to L'Equipe, Die Knappen could be about to offer the Frenchman an escape from the Emirates.

Coquelin moved to North London from Stade Lavallois as a trainee in 2008 and was part of Arsenal's victorious FA Youth Cup team in 2009.
