Philippe Coutinho admits that it "would be awesome" to play alongside Brazilian compatriot Neymar at Barcelona, amid rumours that the forward could return to Camp Nou.

Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has admitted that he would be 'privileged' to play alongside international teammate Neymar at club level.

Rumours have been circulating in the Spanish press suggesting that Neymar could be on his way back to Camp Nou as early as this summer, a year on from joining Paris Saint-Germain in a £198m transfer.

Ivan Rakitic said earlier this week that he would welcome back the Brazilian forward, who is currently on the sidelines nursing an ankle injury, and Coutinho shares those views.

"I am thinking as Rakitic does - I would like to have here the best players and Neymar is one of them," he told reporters. "I am playing alongside him with Brazil and it's a privilege. It would be awesome to have him back."

Neymar had netted 28 goals in all competitions for PSG prior to suffering a metatarsal injury in the 3-0 win over Marseille last month.
