Didier Drogba "can't wait" for Premier League title

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba admits that he "can't wait" for the team's potentially title-winning clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Didier Drogba has admitted that he "can't wait" for Chelsea's potentially title-clinching match against Crystal Palace this weekend.

The league leaders know that a win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday will give them their first Premier League title in five years.

The striker told the club's website: "I can't wait for Sunday. We just want to win the league now. That's the most important thing. Everybody is focused. Everybody is waiting for Sunday to happen and to come quick, because we really want to play that game.

"As a Chelsea player you need trophies. For me to come back and go again in that direction means a lot to me as a competitor. Before I left I would have loved to have won the league again. To have the chance to do that is fantastic. I remember when we had to play Wigan to win the title [in 2010], the atmosphere was crazy.

"Palace are going to come here and try to win. It's a derby as well. We beat them there so they are going to come and show what they can do, and try to disturb us, but really I think Sunday has to be a blue day."

Chelsea have not lost at home in the league this season.
