Guus Hiddink: 'Didier Drogba's heart is with Chelsea'

Interim Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink admits that he would be keen to bring Didier Drogba back to the club in some capacity.

Interim Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink has admitted that he would be interested in bringing Didier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge in some capacity.

The former Blues striker was linked with a coaching role at the club following the departure of Jose Mourinho earlier this week, and rumours of a return intensified when he was spotted sitting alongside Hiddink for Saturday's 3-1 victory over Sunderland at Stamford Bridge.

However, the Ivorian is currently contracted to MLS side Montreal Impact, who have denied that there has been any contact with the Premier League club.

"We would like to get him involved. But he still has a contract with Montreal in the MLS, even though it is the close-season for them now," Hiddink told Fox Sports.

"We want to get important players involved with the club they care about. Drogba's heart is with Chelsea."

Drogba scored 164 goals in 381 appearances during two spells with Chelsea.
