Luciano Moggi undewhelmed by Juventus's Gonzalo Higuain chase

Luciano Moggi believes that Juventus should be looking to sign better players than Gonzalo Higuain and Fernando Llorente.

Former Juventus managing director Luciano Moggi has admitted that Juventus's summer transfer targets are underwhelming.

The Old Lady have already wrapped up a deal for Fernando Llorente and are reportedly close to bringing in Higuain.

Moggi, however, would prefer that the Serie A champions moved for players such as Robert Lewandowski, who is tipped for a move away from Borussia Dortmund.

"Borussia Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski is a player who makes the difference for club and country," Football Italia quotes Moggi as saying.

"The club need to sign important players, but Higuain and Llorente are discreet and nothing more.

"The likes of Alessandro Matri and Fabio Quagliarella are not worth any less, the thing is that foreign players are desired by journalists and fans – but that guarantees nothing."

Juventus have also recently been linked with Fiorentina's Stevan Jovetic.
