Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that there is "no rush" to include midfielder Adam Lallana in the starting lineup after his recovery from a thigh injury.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has suggested that it will be some time before he feels prepared to use Adam Lallana for a full 90 minutes.

Lallana has not featured all season due to a thigh injury, but the midfielder has recently returned to training and could be involved against his former club Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

However, Klopp has insisted that he will remain patient with the playmaker due to Liverpool's upcoming schedule of nine games over the course of the next month.

The 50-year-old told reporters: "There is no rush. We have games every three days for the next few weeks.

"We will use him for sure but bringing him in for 90 minutes? That won't happen."

Liverpool head into the game on Merseyside sitting in fifth place in the Premier League standings.
