Liverpool and Newcastle United could reportedly explore the opportunity to sign Real Madrid loanee Iker Bravo if the Spanish side do not make his loan move permanent.

Liverpool and Newcastle United are reportedly two of the clubs who have kept tabs on young Spanish striker Iker Bravo.

Bravo is currently on loan at Real Madrid from Bayer Leverkusen and the Spanish giants are believed to have an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.

However, the 18-year-old has struggled to make an impact with their 'B' side in the Spanish third tier, unable to break his way into the starting XI.

That could mean Bravo will return to Germany at the end of the season, and FourFourTwo claim Liverpool and Newcastle are interested in exploring a deal for the youngster.

With the prospect of getting him at a cheap price, the two Champions League-chasing sides could make a move for the striker, who has at least shown some fine form in the UEFA Youth League this season.

Two goals in 18 league appearances has been underwhelming though and it may well mean Real do not follow up on the option to sign him for €6m (£5.3m) in the summer.
