West Ham United reportedly identify Clermont striker Mohamed Bayo and Liverpool forward Divock Origi as potential targets in January.

West Ham United have reportedly identified Clermont striker Mohamed Bayo and Liverpool forward Divock Origi as potential targets in January.

David Moyes remains in the market for a new centre-forward to provide more competition for talisman Michail Antonio, who is the only recognised number nine at the club.

According to The Sun, Clermont rejected a £7m bid from West Ham to sign Bayo in the summer, but the Ligue 1 outfit are prepared accept offers worth around £15m in the winter window.

The Hammers also face competition from Brighton & Hove Albion, Brentford and Southampton to land the 23-year-old Frenchman, who has scored seven goals in 12 league appearances this campaign.

The report adds that Belgium international Origi is another forward on West Ham's radar, though they are wary of entering negotiations with the Reds as they fear that Jarrod Bowen's name could feature in any potential discussions.

Origi, who has struggled for regular game time under Jurgen Klopp, will see his current contract at Anfield expire next summer, so Liverpool may consider a January sale if he fails to sign a new deal.
